Dodging the Bullet - Update on Latest in IT Security Best Practices
| Speaker: | Mike Harrop, |
| Abstract: |
IT security is something that we all need to be aware of and to utilize since,
whether we like it or not, our computer systems, wireless terminals and telephone devices,
and even our removable storage devices are constantly under attack from threats that are
ever-more sophisticated and that are continually evolving.
This presentation will review some of the recent developments in security threats and
available countermeasures to neutralize those threats.
It is the intention to include a number of short up-to-the minute video presentations
(with discussion to follow) along with an update (and demonstration) on some of the
available freeware/shareware products. Lastly there will be a brief update on the
latest developments in security standards.
